As an adult it is sometimes hard to learn new things. Like the old saying goes “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, ” This old adage isn’t true, you can teach an old dog new tricks if you have the right approach and the right tools.

This is the case when trying to learn a language. Spanish for example, is one of the easiest languages to learn, all it takes is a little patience and a few creative ways in which to learn.

One of the best ways to learn a new language for both the young and the old is to make a game out of it. You don’t have to be a child to do this either. You can find tons of online resources that have made learning Spanish easy by incorporating the lessons into games.

The number one game is the flashcard game. You basically just make a flashcard with the English word on one side and the Spanish world on the other and try to guess the right answers. Now you as an adult may think this a bit childish but the true fact is, it works. There is no easier way to learn Spanish than by playing games that are not only fun, but will help you learn as well. If you have children, have them play the games with you so they can learn as well. It’s never too early or too late to learn a new language.

If I learned Spanish, how easy will it be to learn Portugese and Italian?

I took four years of High school spanish and I will probably take Spanish in college. I am nearly fluent. (Spanish is not my native language). How easy/hard will it be to learn Italian and maybe Portugese?

Italian, easier. You should be just careful about a lot of “false friends”, and some consonants do have different pronunciation. Still, better than not knowing!
Spanish is more similar to Portuguese, words are similar but pronunciation not identical.
