No one has ever accused the Mars Volta of subtlety. But even so, the cyclonic caterwaul of Bedlam in Goliath is the band’s fullest starburst to date. Sure, the songs have titles that seem indecipherable, from “Aberinkula” to “Conjugal Burns.” The important thing, though, is the molten, guitar-spiraling, drum-thundering core at the heart of the whole endeavor. “Aberinkula” opens the album with an u…

How Can I Learn Spanish Quickly? The Easy Way to Speak Spanish Fast!

If you’re looking for a few simple ways to make Learning Spanish a lot easier, these tips will help you. Of course, you’ll need to have a good Spanish class, text, or online learning program to make full use of them. However, they can do a lot to speed up your ability to master the Spanish Language.

Subtitles

Watch English-language movies with the Spanish Subtitles on. You’ll slowly absorb the Spanish Words and their meaning while watching your favorite films! This is an inexpensive and fun multi-media technique.

Kids’ Books

Favorite kids’ books in other languages are also a great choice. These don’t have to be simple, either. If you love Harry Potter, consider picking up a Spanish Translation. You already know the story, and puzzling out the words is a lot easier.

TV

Spanish and Latin American television and radio shows can be invaluable, too. One of the best choices is the type of show referred to as a novela – these are like American soap operas, and allow you to hear the language spoken with clarity and good diction.

Comic Strips

Spanish language comic strips online and in newspapers make a great source, too. They expose you to idioms you might not see in a textbook, and they’re relatively easy to understand.

3×5 Cards

These are flash cards, but not the usual pre-packaged type. Instead, carry these cards and write down new words that you encounter throughout the day. Find out what they mean and add them to your existing flash cards or other learning methods. This is also great for phrases you run into frequently.

Remember High School?

Many of us took a little high school or College Spanish or a related foreign language. They are a good base to build on, since you’ve already been exposed to the idea of conjugation and grammar. Those who have already learned French or Italian will have a head start on word order, but might have a little more trouble when it comes to pronunciation.

Talk With Native Speakers

People living in areas like Texas, California and Florida will have the best options when it comes to finding people who speak Spanish natively. However, there’s a good chance you can find someone to talk to no matter where you live. If you can’t find anyone who speaks the language as their first tongue, see if you can practice with students from a local college or a local Spanish club.

Practice Every Day

Practice makes perfect, but it’s far more effective if you practice daily. The more often you work on your Spanish, the better chance you have of learning it quickly and easily. You don’t have to get stuck in the same daily “learning” routine either – mix it up to keep it interesting!

These tips will give you a great headstart in Speaking Spanish quickly. Be sure that you choose a self-Study Spanish course that uses a wide variety of teaching methods and that has a proven track record. The biggest reason people give up on learning a language is because the learning material they use is dry, routine and uses dated teaching methods. Nowadays there are some incredible courses that use techniques that are fun, interactive and proven to help you learn the language much faster than traditional methods.

Best of luck and if you have any questions let me know!

Does anyone know any good sites for learning spanish at an intermediate level?

I am an intermediate spanish learner. I have a pretty large vocabulary, but I need to work on becoming fluent. Does anyone know of any good sites that have things like flash cartoons (or something) that are made for intermediate spanish learners?
All of the cartoons I have found speak too fast for me, because they aren’t made for students.
