If you’ve been around babies in the last few years, you’ve seen these newfangled toys that are abstract in color (or just black, white, and red) and make curious, crunching noises. Studies have shown that these types of toys stimulate newborns, expanding the capacity of their little sponge-like minds. That concept comes to the video age in Baby Einstein. This 30-minute tape is called a “video boar…

Intensive Spanish Language Course – 8 Weeks to Your Success

Are you tired of those fake courses, promising to help you Learn Spanish in 2 weeks, for free? Are you tired to waste your time on those fake solutions, only to get charged for the complete version of their programs once you’ve finished their beginner lessons? Don’t worry, I’ve been there too, and with this short article I will show you where to look if you need a reliable alternative To Learn Spanish.

Learning a new language can be costly.

Spanish language immersion courses are very costly and not everyone can afford such a course to learn a new language. If you are searching for an online solution to learn Spanish, there are a few options one can consider.

Free Websites
Forums
Online CoursesLearning a new language is time consuming.

Learning a new language is a slow process. To be able to do the task with some pace, you will need the right tools and the right learning method. Unfortunately, free websites and forums are not a viable option. While they can be considered as an additional tool to complement your learning, they are not effective for two main reasons: no interaction, no learning method.

The last option would be an online course. Fortunately, there are a few reliable ones on the web, which are created by professional teachers that have your success in mind. I advise that you search for the ones that include audio and visual lessons, software games and live assistance to guide you smoothly through your learning.

Learning Spanish….?

Can anyone suggest a good book (or books) from which to Learn The Spanish Language? I mean the whole panorama — from reading and writing Spanish, to Speaking Spanish. Histories of the language and guides to idiomatic expressions will be welcome as well.

Thanks!

Casey F is close, if not right on the idea of learning spanish. This is not done using books or dvd’s etc. Yes, without those, you won’t learn anything but real-world experience is what you need. I guess it all comes down to what you want.

If all you want is to pass a spanish class exam then there those that can help you. If you want to become a master of the language then it takes many years. But, if you’re serious -

First, get a good spanish – english dictionary. I can recommend several. Supposedly, one of the best is the University of Chicago dictionary. It’s good but not the best for beginners. Try Berlitz’s dictionary. It gives you a better idea of what a word means. As a beginner, stay away from the VOX dictionaries because, although they are the final word within the Spanish Speaking world, they are just way, way too many levels above learners and will confuse you to no end.

I’ve been at it for over 12 years now (yes it takes that long to get it all) and I still am learning new words. The cool thing is that once you know a whole bunch, the new words are related to what you already know and your vocabulary grows pretty fast.

The other thing is that Spanish Grammer is quite difficult because the language is very different. I often tell spanish speakers when I’m amoungst them that english grammer is very easy (and it is) but spanish grammer is “una madre” (a mother) and they laugh because that means that it’s very hard. But it’s true. It has two past tenses unlike english and knowing how and when to use it is one of the things that make english speakers most go nuts. Beyone that, it has the so-called passive voice and the subjunctive form. It’s a motherload to understand.

And then there’s the command tense. What’s that? Simple things like “come on in” at the door or “have a seat” or “sit here” are commands in spanish – not in english – and they have their own way of saying things.

Here’s a book that will help you – Yes, get this book -

Spanish Verb Tenses by Dorthy Devney Richmond.

Yea, it’s a boatload. A ton of bricks to undo. Learning Spanish is not an eazy job to get good at it despite what you might hear around you. If anybody tells you that spanish is a easy langage to learn, tell them to get with it. Learning any foreign language is not easy and takes many years.

Rocket Language is arguably the top language software developer in the world. Only Rosetta Stone can offer any argument to this fact. Both products have loyal followings, but offer radically different methods on how to Learn To Speak Spanish. Their price tags are also radically different, which could make a difference to a student on a budget..... Click here to read the rest of the article: Spanish For Beginners
