What’s the best book or cd for learning Spanish?
It’s for my friend. He’s 41, bright, and wants to learn some basics–fast.
It depends on the friend. If his name is Eddie, tell him that Dad has a work copy of the Rosetta Stone that he can use when he comes to visit you. Seriously – it is only a few minutes a lesson – he could double or triple up and get a lot done while he is in town.
Rosetta Stone really is the best. Shantanu and I researched it (obviously) and we bought the Hindi and the Spanish II dvds. Seeing (or hearing) as it is only a couple of minutes a day, we felt especially sheepish when we returned it within the 6 month refund time because “we didn’t have time.” We got a full refund.
