What is a good CD in Spanish for my 4 year old?

My 4 year old is learning Spanish. I have a learning CD but I would like one that has Spanish Children songs. Like the ones I would normally buy in English (Raffy or Wiggles or Toddler Songs). Not “learning” CD’s but one that a Hispanic speaking person would buy.

Juan Luis Orrozco…check it out. It has very cute nursery rhyme sorts of songs that are authentic. I’m a Spanish teacher and I wanted to find CDs for my daughters as well. I kept finding really cheesy translations of English songs into Spanish. Orrozco has great songs, tongue twisters, even “Itsy Bitsy Spider” in Spanish but they’re all songs I remember hearing when I lived in South America, not just “gringo” music.

How can I play this CD on my Mac?

I have this CD that teaches you How To Speak Spanish, that I used when I was a little kid. I wanted to look at it again, but I have a Mac computer now, and it wont let me play the CD! It says that you can only play it on Windows, but I just wanted to know if there was any other way that I could watch it. Please Help!

Unfortunately, you’ll only be able to play that CD in Windows. No way around it. BUT! That doesn’t mean it can’t play on your Mac computer…. If you have Leopard (OS X 10.5), you can install Windows on a separate partition on your hard drive using Boot Camp, or you can buy an emulator like Parallels or VMWare Fusion.

Best Way to Learn A New Language.?

I am entering my senior year of high school taking my 4th year of Chinese and I don’t regret it. But recently, I resolved to learn and master Spanish. Does anyone have any suggestions on if CD roms, CDs, books, or night/weekend classes are the best method? And if so, are there any specific books/CDs/classes you would recommend? And when you sign up for random local classes, is there something to look for or are there any specific names for language learning classes (like how there’s Kaplan/ Princeton Review/etc. for the SATs).

I’m using the book “Learn Spanish In 10 minutes a day” and it’s an awesome book! It’s like a workbook. I’ve been studying a little over a month and I’ve learned so much. when I’m done with that I’m moving on to more difficult books. I study a lot! like at least an hour a day so I don’t forget simple things I’ve learned and I have my own notebook and practice over and over writing the sentences I’ve learned. I’ve looked up spanish classes at my local technical school and it’s about $200 for the class and I can’t afford it so I might call and ask what book they give the students for the class and go buy it and study. That’s my route anyways and everythings working so far and it can be frustrating, but after you learn a difficult language like chinese, you probably won’t have any problem Learning Spanish. Oh and the book I mentioned also has same version with audio cd but it was more expensive so I just got the plain book. Hope everything goes well!

f. If it is possible, try to spend some time with native Spanish Speaking people. They can offer required guidance on accent, pronunciation, and grammar, if need be. Moreover, by constantly listening to them, the language can be learnt even faster.

These few hints can help people learn Spanish faster using learning to speak Spanish software tools.

I don’t know…but, in my opinion the only way to learn a language is by total immersion. Many colleges have those in a 6 week course. I hear Rosetta Stone is good, but I also hear it’s costly. So, do you have Spanish speaking friends? If so, get an English Spanish Dictionary and practice on them. Believe it or not, that helped me tremendously when I was learning English.

Some cool Spanish Songs for Spanish class!?

We are sometimes allowed to listen to music in my spanish class, but only spanish songs or songs in english by hispanic artists. So if you know any good hispanic or latin american songs please post them, so I can make a CD. So far I’ve heard some Santana stuff, my favorite song is Corazon Espinado. I like Jesse y Joy, and Enrique Inglesias. So maybe some songs in those grenres, but I like pretty much anything. Also, this is for school, so no cuss words spanish or otherwise.

By the way DO NOT take Noche de Sexo, o notre de sexo, like they wrote up there, because the song talks about a night of sex, so I doubt you want to take that to school.
