My sister just gave my sister-in-law and her husband a little book for their daughter. It’s for teaching little kids French and it has all these illustrations and simple little phrases. It’s cute. I really want one just like it but I didn’t get to look at it so Idk the author/title, zilch! I’m looking for a Spanish version. Have you heard of any books like this???

About the Author

Linda Carlino has had a lifelong passion for history and historical fiction. When she visited Spain for the first time twenty years ago she became fascinated with its XV and XVI century history. Since then she has travelled extensively in Spain and studied for long periods in many of its most prestigious public and private libraries. i’m looking for some good spanish books for my grandma?

such as classics, or even modern novels. I’ve bought her Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer because I know she wanted them. ANy good novels you could recommend in spanish editions?

Someone recently recommended “Camino del Altar” by Jeanne Allen for me when I was looking for Spanish books to use to try to translate to English (I’m trying to Learn Spanish). It’s a romance novel, which I’m not really into, but it’s published by Harlequin, and they are pretty much the “industry leaders” in romance. So, I’m assuming it’s probably a decent book.

I wouldn’t have mentioned it since I haven’t read it yet, but I thought you might want to check into it if she likes romance novels.

If it doesn’t need to be entirely in Spanish, “Mangos, Bananas, and Coconuts: A Cuban Love Story” or “Papaya Princess”, both by Himilce Novas are really good. I read the English versions, but have heard they have both been translated to Spanish, so maybe with a little research, you could find them if you are interested.
