Our children are required to take a language in order to graduate, Many schools only offer Spanish as the language requirement. Should these Spanish teachers be placing their views and their trying to persuade our children into the beliefs that illegal aliens from hispanic speaking countries belong here?

Growing up I remember learning spanish and some facts about Spanish Culture and that was it. We learned about food and some cities. Should I learn spanish or Portuguese?

I want to be a zoologist so i will be traveling a lot i know the amazon is mostly in brazil [so learn Portuguese?] but so many other countries with the amazon speak spanish [so learn spanish?].

I would say go for both. Here’s the trick, Portugese is almost a mix of spanish and french. if you know spanish, you will understand about half of what is being said in portuguese. Considering there are 2 countries in the world that speak portugese, Brazil and Portugal, Spanish is far more functional. Learn Spanish first, then Portugese. Is the Barron’s AP Spanish book harder than the actual test?

I’m using the Barron’s AP Spanish prep book right now to do some reading exercises, and they seem a little more difficult than what I’m used to. If you’ve used the Barron’s book and took the Spanish lang AP exam, did you think it was harder or easier than the actual test?

The Baron’s book from my experience was much much much harder than the actual exam. Especially for reading comprehension. For listening, this question is up for debate because some of them were easy in Barons and others were very hard. The listening on the test was pretty hard compared to other review books like Triangulo.
