Children are more likely to learn something when it is introduced to them as a game. Many children are unwilling or bored when they are taught a new skill in a classroom setting. If you have young children who are not learning a second language at school then the best way to teach children is through play.

An activity book with puzzles and games is another place to keep looking for way that kids can learn Spanish for fun. Games and activities can often be a way for children to learn on their own. Another helpful tool is a Spanish Dvd for children. An educational DVD that helps Children Learn Spanish will keep up the fun aspect and children will enjoy the challenge of keeping up with a DVD.

Don’t forget to watch the DVD with your children and help them, you might even learn a thing or two. It’s important to learn along with your children and to take part. Your children will respond well if they see you taking an active interest in something. Remember not to overwhelm your children, take it easy and make the lessons consistent. Remember to keep up the Spanish Speaking so that your children don’t forget what they’ve learnt.

Any ideas for a Spanish topic?

I am in Year 9, top set Spanish and I’ve been entered into a Spanish leadership course where we teach Spanish Lessons. We are struggling for ideas on what to teach and how to teach it. We need an hours worth of material, but we’re only using one 15 minute activity. Any ideas? Thanks!

I can’t say I am particularly fluent in the language, but have taken a few courses through the years. My suggestion is along these lines:

I have found in the past that many texts (and college courses) don’t seem to cover a lot of situations and aspects of life that are important to me…on a day-to-day basis. For your project, I would take a situation…such a standing at a bus-stop, or in line at a concert, or in line at the market, or in meeting a new person in your building who has cute kids (or in the work environment)..and touch on some reasonable, logical dialog between those involved.

E.g….

My, what beautiful children you have, Madam!
Wow, those are large avocados. Good prices on them here today?
Do you know how long til the next bus gets her, Buddy?

Wow, what a long wait in line!! Is it usually this bad?
Miss, excuse me, but you look terrific today!!
Man, what were you thinking?!!
Sir, you are standing on my daughter’s foot. Get out of here!!

I had so much trouble at work today, I am “fit to be tied!”
I have “really had it” with my boss!!

Children’s Learning Adventure Toddlers Program

Most home schooling programs are fully comprehensive and provide everything you would need for your child’s complete k-12 education. However, you should keep in mind that many experienced home schoolers do not stick to just one program. They pick and choose from what they believe are best of each of the various programs. I cover in greater detail how people mix and match in my home schooling newsletter.

There are many popular and respected home schooling programs. The ones I’ll cover briefly here are Saxon, Center for Learning and Curriculum Associates.

Perhaps one of the more well-known home schooling programs comes from Saxon. Saxon is a part of Harcourt Achieve, a publisher that provides a variety of educational materials across various subjects. Saxon focuses on math, phonics and early learning. Many home schoolers like Saxon’s math texts. Math is an area that children will need expert instruction in. If the parents don’t have a math background, Saxon may be the right math program for your child.

The Center for Learning is another of the great home schooling programs. They provide curriculum materials to public, private and parochial schools. They are also a favorite choice of home schoolers. Just as Saxon provides good math texts, the Center for Learning provides materials on English, Language Arts, Drama and Social Studies. They provide religious materials.

Finally, another favorite among the various home schooling programs is Curriculum Associates. Their materials focus on Reading, Language Arts and Math. They also have materials on test preparation, study skills and assessment.

As I mentioned, most parents will not stick to any one of the home schooling programs. They will choose Reading from this publisher and Math from that one. They often find what they like best through experimentation or from what their friends recommend.

So, which of the home schooling programs do you choose? If it were me, I would contact your State’s Department of Education Home School contact person. This individual will know what programs with which students are having the most success.

Our children are required to take a language before graduating, but should these teachers?

Our children are required to take a language in order to graduate, Many schools only offer Spanish as the language requirement. Should these Spanish teachers be placing their views and their trying to persuade our children into the beliefs that illegal aliens from hispanic speaking countries belong here?

I agree with The Master. The children should be learning the language and not be subjected to the personal beliefs of the teacher. Growing up I remember learning spanish and some facts about Spanish Culture and that was it. We learned about food and some cities. There is no need to delve into Mexican history when learning spanish. As The Master stated, if English speaking kids are being made to Learn Spanish, the Spanish Speaking ones need to learn english. I am a teacher and have been looking to move to Florida with my husband ( we live in England right now.) I have learned from my research that apparently 89% of all public schooling in FL is behind because they have translator in the classes for all the illegal children who do not speak english. I think its appalling that american citizens education is being jeopardized for illegals. Now, I am sure some of the non english speaking kids are legal however, the should be forced to learn english. This is the USA and the laws and customs should be respected. An emphasis on mexican culture in a spanish classroom is not only inappropriate but unnecessary to learn the language.

The One World Government Idea Origin

The Idea of a One World Government has been in the heads of a few all throughout history, the actual beginning was right after Noah’s Flood described in the Bible. When humans had multiply quite a bit, a man was born, the first human to actually declare war against the Most High, though this may not be fully obvious by only reading the verses as they have been translated in the different English versions of Scriptures, without going deeper into the meaning of certain words in the Hebrew text.

The First World Leader

The King James Version renders the text regarding the birth of Nimrod as:

Genesis 10:8-10
8And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one(H1368) in the earth.
9He was a mighty(H1368) hunter before(H6440) the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty(H1368) hunter before(H6440) the LORD.
10And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

By reading only this text concerning Nimrod, as we find it in the King James Version, we would end up with a completely wrong idea about him, since it actually seems he was in favor of Yahweh and maybe fighting for him, but instead the contrary is true.

If we look up in the Strong’s Dictionary the word translated as “mighty one” in the verse, we can find a better word to describe the character of this man, the same goes for the original Hebrew word translated by King James as “before” which gives an impression that he was before him maybe in reverence.

After seeing the full meaning of the original Hebrew words, we can see the bigger picture and actually figure out what the text is really trying to say.

The verse could be better written as:

Genesis 10:8-9
8 Cush begat Nimrod; he began to be a tyrant in the earth.
9 He was a tyrannical hunter in opposition to the Yahweh. Thus it is said, ‘Nimrod the tyrannical opponent of YHWH.’

Importance of Names

The Almighty shows us all over scriptures how important names are, when reading them, you wont be able to go though a couple pages without seeing a reference to His Mighty Name, the Importance, the Power or Pureness of It. There are many other different ways in which we can see how important a name is to the Almighty, not only His Name, but names in general, the fact of pronouncing them with your mouth, or in this case writing a name in His book the Bible. For example, there is something curious about Nimrod and the description given of him in the Bible, and that is that Nimrod was not his real name. The word Nimrod comes from the Hebrew verb “marad” meaning “Rebel”, the addition of an “n” before the “m” turns it into an infinitive construct, making Nimrod mean “The Rebel”.

I believe the Book of Life could be a book like the Bible being written at the moment, describing all the things that are happening with the people of the Almighty as the Bible tells us of our forefathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The reason why I say this, is because just as we are told to be pure so that our names may be written in the Book of Life, so it seems to have been the case with the Bible, since the real name of who we came to know as “Nimrod” was kept out of it, because of his actions and rebellion, he did not deserve the honor to be written by name in the greatest book, so his real identity was kept  a mystery, just as all of those who wont be written in the Book of Life for not accepting the Messiah, but might be mentioned during the story of Life for one or other reason in the Book, but using only an adjective, just as in Nimrod’s case.

The Name of  “the Rebel”

Through human history and the discoveries of many archeologist, we can deduce that the man called “The Rebel”(Nimrod) in scriptures, was actually named Gilgamesh in real life. He was the King of Uruk in southern Mesopotamia, the Bible agrees with this and the name of the place it gives, as you can see in verse 10, is Erech.

The reign of Nimrod is a reflection of the One World Government prophesied in Scriptures, Gilgamesh also known as “the Rebel” according to the Bible, is the perfect model for what the future World Leader will be like, as we can read in the book of Thessalonians the coming king can also be consider a rebel.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-10
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Scriptures describe the coming World Leader as a “lawless one”, which means “one rebelling against the laws of the Most High”, like the name Nimrod(the rebel) suggests was the character of Gilgamesh, the very first man to become King of the World and to declare war against Yahweh.

Something very interesting that adds more weight to both articles  “Barack Obama, the Antichrist?“ and “These are the End Times“, is that President Barack Obama, may I say “coincidentally”, got a very significant codename for the secret service according to the Suntimes and other sources.

President-elect Barack Obama — aka Renegade — had a say in choosing the code name that his protectors use when they’re whispering into those microphones in their sleeves. He was given his choice of several names starting with R.

There’s no word on why Obama selected Renegade.

But it’s a sure bet he wasn’t thinking about the word’s origins. According to the Online Etymology Dictionary, Renegade’s earliest meanings had to do with deserting one’s religion, coming from the Spanish word ‘‘renegado,” originally ‘‘Christian turned Muslim.”

Looking up the definition of Renegade codename for Barack Obama we get:

ren·e·gade

1. One who rejects a religion, cause, allegiance, or group for another; a deserter. 2. An outlaw; a rebel.

From the definition of Renegade we can conclude that President Obama’s codename is also “The Rebel” , an outlaw or lawless one, a deserter from the truth,  just like Gilgamesh.

He sure does seem to be pretty lawless and also a deserter from the whole meaning of truth, taking in account every time he changed his statement depending on who was listening to him at the moment, as the great deceiver.

I guess we could even call Barack Obama “Nimrod” as well, taking in mind the meanings are all the same.

The Epic of Gilgamesh

Another similarity connecting Gilgamesh to Nimrod is the story of  the Flood in the Bible, which is also described on the 11th tablet of the Epic of Gilgamesh and it is called by them, The Babylonian Flood, all these taken from almost 200 lines of poetry on 12 clay tablets inscribed in cuneiform script .Commentators agree that the story comes from a much earlier period, not too long after the Flood as described in the story.

It was said of him, “Humbaba’s roar is a flood, his mouth is death and his breath is fire! He can hear a hundred leagues away any (rustling?) in his forest! Who would go down into his forest!”

It was believed that Humbaba sent the flood on earth and according to the story, he was killed by Gilgamesh and his half-man, half-beast friend, Enkidu. Some suggest Huwawa is the ancient pagan perspective of Yahweh (YHWH), the Almighty.

Some people of Israel continued worshiping Semiramis through the years, with the name Ashtoreth as we can read in the Bible, so it shouldn’t be of any surprise that many of those who claim to worship the Almighty in this day and age, are actually still worshiping the goddess and false little messiah, like Israel was doing during those days.

13 And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.

Also Tammuz, this time with his own name, is found in the Bible, in the book of Ezekiel.

14Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Yahweh’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

Is very clear how the false messiah Tammuz, was being worshiped by some Israelite women who were weeping his death inside the Temple of Yahweh, just like Christians nowadays go to church, which according to them is supposed to be the House of the Almighty, to worship the same guy with a different name and also just like back in the day, they still weep because he is hanged dead on a cross, which is a symbol that derives form the first letter of the name Tammuz and is called the Tau, instead of believing in the real Messiah, Yahuwshua, who’s name is only One and who is alive for eternity.

New World Order

The World Leader that is to come, which could very possibly be President Obama (Barack Obama Antichrist), will unite the world in One World Government, having One World Army with the false threat of an alien invasion, having One World Currency working through the chip and finally a One World Religion with the False Prophet at it’s head, getting the world ready to receive the Abomination of Desolation from the book of Daniel, as god on earth.

Revelation 13:7
7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

The United Nations is the revival of the Roman Empire, which was deadly wounded to the head yet is now living again, their final goal is to bring about the New World Order under one man, as envisioned by Nimrod back in the day.

It is funny to noticed the influence of Freemasonry in the making of the logo, since the world presented in the emblem only seems to have 33 coordinates, just like Masons have 33 Degrees.

Here is also a picture of the headquarters of the United Nations in New York, with the world at the front sorrounded by their control.

New York could be said to be a modern day city of Babel, where we can find people of all races and languages and also find a depiction of both pagan gods, the Statue of Liberty being Semiramis and the Obelisk located in central park called Cleopatra’s Needle representing Nimrod’s Phallus.

During their 60th Anniversary, the United Nations came out with a quite interesting motto and a logo to go with it.

“A Time for Renewal”, showing their intentions in all splendor to the world, a time for a New World Order, to bring about the One World Government under Lucifer, as we can see in the next picture using their anniversary logo to subliminally send a message to the people during one of the conferences, showing the 666.

There has been already a World Passport manufactured for these people serving plan.

Rebuilding of The Tower of Babel

To start closing up this article, I want to show you the “Tower of Babel” painted by Pieter Brueghel, as he could picture it. This image became the model to represent the actual Tower.

The European Union made use of this image and created one of it’s own, basically advertising the New World Order and also sending many other subliminal messages.

They are clearly portraying the Tower of Babel when speaking of their objective in the world but also the top is surrounded by 11 upside-down pentagrams,  a very important symbol in Satanic Rituals for invoking the Devil, it also represents the 5 statements made by Lucifer before his fall, saying what he wanted to achieve, told in Isaiah.

Isaiah 14:12-14
12 ” How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:
(1)‘ I will ascend into heaven,
(2)I will exalt my throne above the stars of Yahweh;
(3)I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
(4)14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
(5)I will be like the Most High.’

Funny that Lucifer said that he wanted “ascend into heaven”, exactly like Nimrod’s idea, who’s plan is just a physical manifestation of Lucifer’s desire, this meant going from his realm or dimension to the highest dimension, where the Most High sits of course, where no man can go, for no one has gone up to heaven but he that came from heaven like Scripture states.

John 3:13
13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.

Lucifer wanted to go up to the Highest Heaven and be like the Most High, set up his kingdom over all the stars of the Almighty and so was the goal of Nimrod and his people, but just like the Tower of Babel, Lucifer was brought down to the ground, being denied any access to any higher places and left on earth for a small period, a short period of time in which he will enter a human body a proclaim himself to be god, finally accomplishing world domination through his new means, which are the people in one mind agreement with him, all connected through the Microchip, to then make war against the Most High trying and take over heaven as well.

I believe that the way the European Parliament was built in contrast to the known model of the Tower of Babel, it paints a perfect picture of the world’s destiny with a pinch of sarcasm in part of these devils called Illuminati.

It was obviously Erected in a way to look as an unfinished tower.

Another model of  Tower of Babel being subliminally programmed in our minds, is seen in the movie “Star Wars”. I’m referring to the Head Quarters of the King of Evil taking over the galaxy though the Dark Force, Darth Vader, who’s story also resembles Nimrod in a way.

The Death Star, also an incomplete structure or destroyed in part, as the headquarters for the Evil Darth Vader looking for world Domination

Finally, for the last touch, the most used Tower of Babel or Incomplete Tower, is actually the most important symbol of the Illuminati, the Incomplete pyramid, which some believe is a Stargate itself.

The all seeing eye at the top of the pyramid, is the eye of Lucifer and the Latin writing means “New World Order“, the Romans numerals at the bottom of the structure are for the year 1776 when Illuminati was created by Adam Weishaupt, at least by name , since Lucifer has had the plan all along. Down-loadable digital media learning programs are immensely popular for learning languages. For North Americans Spanish is one of the most frequently selected languages to learn. It seems that you need Spanish not only when you cross the southern border of the U.S. but also when you need to communicate with people who have already crossed that border, going north! There are an estimated 30 million people in the U.S. who speak Spanish, and a few million of these don’t speak English.

So what are the choices of learning programs for Spanish? How do the prices compare, and the quality?

The most popular alternatives are:

Pimsleur Spanish. The Pimsleur approach offers three levels of Spanish. Each level consists of 30 audio lessons at 30 minutes each, a total of 15 hours of audio instruction. The materials are available on CD or cassette (your choice) and are accompanied by a sight reading booklet and a study guide. Each level costs $169 for a total of $507. There is a comprehensive package with extras, priced at $572 Emphasis is on spoken Spanish which covers both formal Spanish (as spoken in the drawing rooms of upper-class society, at Universities and at high-level business and political settings) and, to a certain extent, street (or everyday spoken) Spanish. There is also a down-loadable digital version available at $155 per level.

Rosetta Stone Spanish software comes on CD’s and also offers three levels of Spanish. Their pricing is a bit more complicated. Spanish Level I by itself costs $195.00. Spanish Level II by itself costs $225.00, but if you get Levels I and II together as a set, the price is $329 (you save $91). Then Spanish Level III by itself costs $245. However, if you get all three levels together as a set the price for all three together is $499. Rosetta Stone has long been known as the “Cadillac” of Language learning; the most complete, maybe the best, and one of the most expensive.

Rocket Spanish learning program also comes on CD’s. It uses some of the same basic teaching methods as Pimsleur, but takes a heavily conversational approach to learning, focussing on everyday spoken “street Spanish”. They use interactive conversational teaching and “learning games” to maintain student interest. They offer a comprehensive course, covering from beginners to advanced students, for a single price of $300. This is for the hard-copy version, with books and CD’s in physical form. There is a shipping charge of $50 to send the whole package, so the net cost is $350 delivered. There is also a digital down-loadable version available for $100.

Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone Spanish are excellent at teaching you formal Spanish or “Castellano”, the way educated Spanish speakers converse. If you are traveling in Latin America and need to deal with everyday people you will find a lot of difference between what Pimsleur or Rosetta Stone taught you and what is being commonly spoken. For everyday usage or traveler’s Spanish, you will need to know and be able to converse in street Spanish.

You may need both. If you only know street Spanish, and then need to interact with educated Latin Americans in formal situations, you will come across as an uneducated hick. In reality, there is street Spanish and then there is formal Spanish. (Just as in English there is everyday conversational English and then there is university English. But the differences in vocabulary and rules of grammar between the two forms of the language are much greater and more pronounced in Spanish than they are in English) To be able to communicate effectively in both formal situations and ordinary street conversation, you would need to know both forms of Spanish, in order to be able to switch back and forth between them as needed.

This author has no personal experience with Rosetta Stone Spanish but it is reputed to teach primarily the formal version of Spanish, along somewhat the same lines as Pimsleur.

All three are very good products and highly recommended. Which is best for you would depend on your reasons for wanting to Learn Spanish. For everyday conversations and street Spanish, Rocket Spanish is probably the better choice. For formal, educated Spanish (Castellano), Pimsleur or Rosetta Stone would be a better choice. For complete domination of the Spanish Language, you would need to know both the formal and the street forms of Spanish.

cool activities to learn a foreign language….ideas?

Ok, this is a little backwards but its the same concept. I plan complimentary activities for kids from preschool to 12th grade in ENGLISH (I live and work in south america and these kids are Spanish Speaking in a bilingual school). I’m looking for cool and entertaining, yet educational activities to do with the kids so if you’ve ever taken a foreign language, what did you do in your class, if anything, that was fun and made it easier to learn? I dont care what language it was, just how the activity was done.

Songs, definitely. They’re fun, and many people, including me, remember a song much better than the same text without music.

When the vocabulary is small, a very straightforward guessing game can work. Ask one child to come and face the others. Show her a picture of, say, an apple. Others ask her questions like “Are you a door?” or “Are you a cat?” She answers “No, I’m not” or “Yes, I am.” The one who guessed right is the next it.

Rock, paper and scissors is another game that can easily be played in English. The winner has to announce the result, otherwise it doesn’t count. The announcement can range from “I won” to something like “My rock breaks your scissors, therefore I won.”
